Import a resume (PDF vs Word)

You can start from a file instead of typing everything.

In your account (Resume → Import)

1. Open https://kudoswall.com/account/resume and start Import.
2. Upload a PDF (application/pdf). The account import dialog accepts PDF only.
3. Choose Import only or Import & Improve (Auto Enhance). Improve is a paid action for unpaid accounts.
4. Optionally pick a target layout: universal, USA, India, UAE, or Europass.
5. Wait for processing, then review every section in the editor. Imports are a first draft — fix names, dates, and skills.

A long resume option exists when the file is too long for the standard importer.

Homepage “Upload & Fix” and public tools

On https://kudoswall.com, Resume Analyzer, Cover Letter, and similar tools accept PDF or Word (DOCX). Those flows extract text; they are not the same as the account Import dialog.

If Word upload fails in the account importer, export the file to PDF first, then import.

LinkedIn

Export your LinkedIn profile as PDF from LinkedIn, then import that PDF.
